              Pada pertemuan tanggal 10 November 2020 membahas tentang konektor tidak memerlukan subjek pada setelah konektor pada kalimatnya. Pada konektor tertentu  hanya memelukan konektor dan verb. Konektor yang akan dibahas kali ini yaitu (who, which, whom, dan that)

Who

Who adalah konektor yang berfungsi sebagai kata ganti orang. Biasanya jika dua kalimat yang belum diberi konektor akan memiliki subject yang sama. Maka konektor “who” diletakan pada kedua kalimat yang disatukan dan dihilangkan subject di anak kalimatnya.

Yang digaris bawahi adalah anak kalimat yang mengandung konektor “who” yang merujuk pada subjek “those” dan setelah kata who diikuti dengan verb.

 

2.       Antonacci, who was appointed by then- Gov. Rick Scott (R) to clean house after the 2018 debacle, instituted….

Yang digaris bawahi adalah anak kalimat karena ada konektor “who”. Kata who merujuk ke subject awal “Antonacci” dan diikuti kata kerja was di kalimat tersebut.

 

Whom

Whom adalah konektor yang berarti “yang” juga di Indonesia. Whom adalah kata ganti orang untuk objek. Biasanya setelah kata “whom” diikuti dengan object orang. Selain diikuti dengan object orang, setelah whom dan object diikuti dengan verb.

Whose

Whose adalah kata konektor yang menunjukan kepunyaan. Polanya whose+noun.

Setelah kata whose diikuti noun “arrest” yang berarti penangkapan.

 

That

That adalah kata konetor yang berartikan “yang” juga berfungsi untuk menggantikan orang/benda untuk subjek atau objek. That+verb atau that+subject+P

 di kalimat tersebut setelah "that" diikuti dengan verb has benefited.

Which adalah kata konektor untuk menggantikan objek atau subjek yang lebih spesifik. Which+verb atau which+S+O

setelah kata "which" terdapat object yaitu the anonymous figure.

Where dan when

Where adalah kata konektor yang menggantikan dimana/ Ketika, sedangkan when konektor untuk menggantikan tempat atau waktu. Polanya when/where+S+P
