Stated question adalah soal yang menanyakan informasi yang ada di dalam teks. 

cara mencari jawaban stated question

1. baca soal terlebih dahulu (biasanya menggunakan 5W+H question)

2. baca teks secara cepat (baca menggunakan teknik scanning)

3. cari jawaban yang sesuai dengan pertanyaan (contoh jika pertanyaan menanyakan when, maka kata-kata yang menunjukan waktu di dalam teks)

4. kumpulkan data informasi dan jawablah pertanyaan tersebut (jawaban stated question pasti ada di bacaan teksnya)
